Hello. Im forwarding this because many of you are friends..I didn't
realize the Seminar is still open or I would have sent it sooner...I
fully realize we all have our own path. However if any have ever
thought about learning or are practising any kind of meditation..I send
this info to you...It is unheard of for anyone as honored, humble and
famed as Tsokni Rinpoche to come to a small community as ours to Teach.
He is from Nepal and is in the US for a little while....and yes
Dancers..Ill let you in..Im not much for "sitting" and I do meditate on my
feet...

Subject: Seminar with Tsoknyi Rinpoche III
Greetings,
As you probably know by now, Tsoknyi Rinpoche III is coming to
Urbana to offer teachings August 5 - 7. This is a very unique and exciting
event since he is highly saught after by Vipassana and Tibetan
practitioners alike. Our teachers Guy, Carol, Myoshin, Joseph and Sharon
have already received teachings from him this retreat season.
A WORD ABOUT PARKING - Sunday is free street parking and Mon and
Tues we can park in the university lot at Ill. Street Residence Hall for
$5.00 per car, so consider car-pooling on those days.
We will have a small Dharma Shop offering relevant books, CDs, a very
small selection of beautiful hand-made malas, katas,etc, and an
opportunity to order tape sets of Rinpoche's teachings available only to
those who have received teachings from him.
We will have many folks attending from Chicago and from as far away
as Tenn, Michigan, Minn, New York, Missour and Texas! In fact, there will
be more out-of-towners then Sangha members which is a bit surprising since
we are the host group. So if any of you are still considering coming, I
encourage you to do so. It is an opportunity to hear teachings from one of
the most dynamic and clear teachers of our time. We will be doing walk-in
registration on Sunday, 1:30 - 2:30 with a fee of $150 for the three days.
There is an opportunity to offer dana to Rinpoche, his translator and
teaching associate, Tashi-la, at the end of the retreat since they, like
Vipassana teachers, do not receive fees for offering Dharma.
