Dancing activities usually quiet down during the summer in C-U, but with
tango there will be continuity - time to relax and connect with your partner
and the music as your strive for the nirvana that only tango can bring.
In order to provide you with the opportunities to pursue your quest for the
perfect tango, Ron and Susana Weigel are organizing the following tango
activities this summer:
(1) Thurs May 17: 7-10 PM - 314 B Illini Union

Practice Dance. Free Admission. For all levels of dancers. No formal lesson,
but Ron & Susana will be available for tango consultation.
(2) Sat June 16: 8:30 - 11:30 PM - 314 B Illini Union
Milonga. Free Admission.
(3) Wed July 11: 6:30 - 8 PM - Lake House, Crystal Lake Park
Tango demonstration to the community. As part of the Urbana Park District
Sounds of Summer week, there will be social dancing and demos on the deck of
the Lake House so the C-U community can see what tango is and hopefully join
us.
(4) Sat July 21: 8:30 - 11:30 PM - 314 B Illini Union
Milonga. Free Admission.
(5) Sat Aug 25: 8:30 - 11:30 PM - Phillips Recreation Center
Return to Phillips Center for milongas. Admission $3. Introductory lesson
before the milonga.
So, Ron, Susana, and I are looking forward to seeing you at these summer
