dancesport spreads to the infomercial

If you adore infomercials (I used to love them in the early 1990s), and
also want to see some championship ballroom dancers at the same time, try
to look for this infomercial program:

Body by Jake 3-Minute-A-Day Hip, Thigh, and Bun Rocker

It is still airing in syndication. Why? Ballroom dance and dancesport
finally spreads into the infomercial. This perhaps should help people who
never 'ballroom-danced' before take up ballroom dance classes. And this
could be a 'segue' to the next Dancing Illini competition in October.

About 18 minutes into the program, Gary and Diane McDonald, International
style 10-dance champions, mainly do the jive in television clips of the
dancesport championships and in the Body by Jake studios, and even get
interviewed by Jake himself. Although they appear for only about 3
minutes, I said to myself "They still look wonderful on the dance
floor!" The segment ends when Jake invites them to do a very brief
honor dance.

As you may or may not know, my favorite competition dance couple was
Tony Meredith and Melanie LaPatin. But they retired from dancesport about
3 years ago. Gary and Diane perhaps are my favorite couple. (I actually saw
both couples live at the Ohio Star Ball on November 1998.)
