Re: Re: vmd-l: FFTK VMD plugin issue (arising from VECSCALE TCL issues of either NAMD or VMD ?)

For OptCharges I used the final version of VMD (1.9.1) with CUDA
support on Debian amd64.

I also have the same version on Debian i386, without CUDA support, but
also without computational codes (such as NAMD, for instance) and it
deals of a vintage desktop with short memory.

With both, the OptCharges requests NAMD, and does not work without
filling the request.

When CUDA cards are activated, NAMD is not seen. When not, and
non-CUDA NAMD version is active (I mean its libraries), the error is
"vecscale: parameters must have data..." As far as I can understand
this is a TCL issue and therefore I also posted to NAMD.

That said, I regret to be unable to determine which version of FFTK is
in my VMD 1.9.1. If you are so kind to instruct me howto, I'll thank
you very much.

I know the instruction from
http://physiology.med.cornell.edu/faculty/hweinstein/vmdplugins/installation.html

but FFTK is not a third-part plugin. So, I don't even know how to
catch and install the latest version of FFTK, where, you say, the
request of NAMD for OptCharges has disappeared.

Thanks a lot for help
