Dear NAMD list users
We just had our old cluster upgraded to a 800 core intel woodcrest system.
Unfortunately the EMT64 binary (
<http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Development/Download/download.cgi?UserID=&AccessCode
=&ArchiveID=902> Linux-amd64) is unstable and crashes about 45 minutes into
a test simulation that completes without error on the generic Linux-i686
binary.
Obviously we'd like to run a version optimized for our cluster, so we tried
compiling from the source. However this failed when compiling charm++, with
a rather esoteric error: "MsgPacker.h:86: error: extra qualification
‘MsgPacker::’ on member ‘MsgPacker’"
Any good suggestions for getting around this? I'm told we have all kinds of
compilers installed and ready to go :o)
