Node 0 could not initialize network!

I recently compiled namd 2.5 on a Linux cluster (with Myrinet) from Microway:

./build charm++ net-linux gm icc --incdir=/usr/opt/gm/include --libdir=/usr/opt/gm/lib

everything went OK (as far as I can tell), however, when I run a test

charmrun ++local +p2 namd2 ./src/alanin

I get a message saying
Node 0 could not initialize network!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
