Dear all,

I'm compliling the charm libraries on a opteron cluster with SuSE9.2:

The command line

./build charm++ net-linux opteron pgcc --no-shared -O -DCMK_OPTIMIZE=1

gives after a while the error :

In file included from memory.c:100:
memory-gnu.c:1763: error: parse error before '{' token
memory-gnu.c:1774: error: redefinition of `__malloc_initialized'

-DCMK_OPTIMIZE=1 -DCMK_MEMORY_BUILD_DEFAULT -O -I../bin/../include -c
memory.c -o memory.o returned error code 1

The version of the gcc compiler is 3.3.4

Is there a bug in memory-gnu.c or is the compiler guilty?

I would be very glad to get a hand.

Many thanks,

          Gianluca
