Hi Brian,

 Jim did the build, he may answer your question better. I think it was
compiled against default RH9 installation (2.4 kernel).
But I have no problem using it (fftw) on my desktop that has Suse Linux
with 2.6 kernel.

 Recently I have seen a lot of email about this incompatibility problem
of fftw and tcl binaries. Just let people aware of the existence of
these two RH9 builds, so that one can try before going through the
source compilation.
