Having gotten charm++ to work with that we ran into problems trying to get
NAMD to link against it.

Eventually gave up on using the Intel v8 compilers for this and built an
alternative version of MPICH-GM with v7.

Using GM2, Intel compilers v7 and that MPICH we finally got it all working.
Much happier now!
