Rueda Class---Level 2. (4 sessions)
What: we'll review and clean up the rueda sequences from summer, and then
we'll add some of the more advanced sequences.
When: Wednesdays, 9:30 to 10:40 pm
Dates - 9/18, 9/25, 10/02, and 10/09
Where: The Regent Ballroom, Savoy.
Cost: Free for current DI members and registered participants who meet the
prerequisite (If you didn't join yet this fall, joining the club costs $10
per semester, or non-uiuc may register for $15 per semester.)
Instructors: Yuri and Tanja ---You've missed us, right?
Prerequisite: the 6 week rueda class this summer, or instructor's
permission.
Why - To make our Rueda look nice. REALLY nice. We have an opportunity to
perform this for dancers from all over the Midwest. During the 3rd session
the instructors will select couples (probably 4 men and 4 ladies) to perform
at our competition. This performance will happen at 4:00 pm, October 19th
in the Illini Union rooms A, B & C.
We will also have an additional performance on another date for anyone in
the class who would like to participate and show off what they've learned.
Details about this performance will be discussed in the class.
