Hello dancers,
Jim and I are planning a trip to the Indy Swing Club Dance on Sunday,
April 14. YOU are invited to come too. I hope that some of our new
West Coast Swing dancers from Bruce and Hilary's class will join us.
Please email me at ldhoppe@yahoo.com and let me know if you need a ride
or if you can provide rides. I need to know if you plan on going to
make sure there is enough space for you to ride along.
What: Indy Swing Club Dance
When: Sunday, April 14
11:30 AM Leave Champaign-Urbana
2-3 PM West Coast Swing Dance Lesson
3-6 PM Open Dancing
Cost: $10 for Indy Swing Club or if it's your 1st or 2nd time
$15 for non-members
Where: We will meet in front of Freer Hall and will leave at 11:30 AM.
Dress code: You will want to dress up a little, like you would for the
Regent. You will feel out of place in jeans. Email me if you are in
doubt.
Dancing: The music played is mostly for West Coast Swing. There were
quite a few hustles and nightclub two steps played the last time I
went. The dj also played a couple cha cha's and a waltz.
Dinner: Jim and I will be stopping at the Beef House for dinner on the
way home. This is a great restaurant. Full dinners cost between $15
and $20. If you don't want to spend that much, there's a salad bar or
entree items. There may be a car that will go straight back to Urbana
from Indianapolis, but we will have to see what the volunteer drivers
want to do.
