Aftermath of Alberto and Valorie

I want to thank everyone who attended the very successful Argentine Tango
workshops with Alberto and Valorie last weekend at White Street Arts Center,
and the inaugural Milonga at Phillips Recreation Center. Alberto and
Valorie told me many times what a nice group of dancers we have here.

I don't know about you, but my mind is still reeling from the wealth of
information we got from A & V. Which brings me to my first topic.

[ ] Review Sessions

We are planning a few sessions to review material from the workshops.

On Thursday Mark and Ece will have a recap of material primarily from the
salon style workshop (W3. "Floorcraft"). This will be held at Channing
Murray Foundation after their Thursday night class. Time: 6:30-8pm. This is
open to anyone who attended the workshops. Carlotta and I will try to join
at least part of this session (we have a meeting at the same time).

We will also devote next Sunday's Practica (7pm White Street Arts Center)
to a review of some workshop material and (try to) answer questions. If I
can figure out how to get a VCR-ready TV over there I will bring the tapes.
My own TV is too heavy.

[ ] Chances to Dance Tango

I think the gods of Tango are still smiling on us, because this weekend we
have a couple of dances coming up:

- This Friday at Regent Ballroom, 10:45pm-11:30, in between the ballroom
and salsa dances.

- This Saturday 8pm-close, Guerrilla Parlour Ensemble is playing at The
Bread Company on Goodwin. This will be crowded and not much room to dance.
Good time to try out "Club Style" Tango. :-)

[ ] The return of Alberto and Valorie

They are coming back through C-U for a few days after Thanksgiving, and may
be able to make time for some private lessons. I will have more info on
that in a few days.
