Hello everybody!

Salem Kathryn Weitzenhoffer was born on 1 September 1999 at 9:55 pm at
Provena-Covenant Hospital in Champaign, IL.

Her birthweight was 7 lbs, 14 oz, and she was 20 inches long.

Rebecca entered active labor at approximately 5 pm that day. At 9:30 pm,
her water broke. She had opted for water birth, so she then entered the
tub. After a scant 8 minutes of pushing, Salem (pronounced "SAY-lem") was
born. There were absolutely no complications for either mother or child.
Rebecca labored with virtually no pain medication, and bore her pain very
gracefully.

Rebecca and Salem are resting at the hospital until Friday afternoon.
