(1) Where to dance?

We are looking for a place in Champaign-Urbana to hold monthly milongas
(tango social dances) -- a coffee house, restaurant, or even a bar.
If anyone has suggestions of a venue that could be good for this,
please email me (Joe Grohens).
In the meantime, we can take advantage of the half hour of tango music
played at The Regent Ballroom before their Friday night salsa dances. Here
is their schedule.

Mark and Ece are starting two new six-week classes at Channing-Murray
Foundation (on U of I campus). They have added a new Level II class.

(3) Special Group Lesson with Tom and Nancy Ronquillo.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
This Sunday at White Street Arts Center will be a Group Lesson instead of
the regular open practice session. Tom and Nancy Ronquillo from the Central
Illinois Tango Society will give a two-hour class for people at all levels.
In this lesson Tom will introduce the "milonga", a lively precursor of the
salon-style tango that is danced to a fast, peppy song form. (Note: The
same word "milonga" is also used to refer to tango social dances. The
milonga _dance style_ has some specialized steps, and varies from tango
kind of like the single swing varies from triple swing.)
Tom and Nancy's lesson is, as usual, open to all levels.
