Several people mentioned to me that they did not
notice that the ChaCha pattern notes had CHANGED,
and they simply deleted the second version. So,
here is the UPDATED version of the ChaCha pattern

man's right pointed to side
1 2 3 4 bounce the hips
1 step side
2 3 4&1 basic movement ------- 4&1 is ball, flat, ball-flat
2 3 4&1 4&1 is side, together, side
2 3 4&1 forward basic movement
2 3 4&1 to fan ------------- woman: forward, back, back lock
2 3 4&1 fan ---------------- woman: close, forward, forward lock
2 3 4&1 alamada turn ------- man's left elbow is to side,
NOT in front
2 3 4&1 hand to hand ------- 2 is back
2 3 4&1 hand to hand
2&3 sync. new yorkers -- 2 is forward
4&1 sync. new yorkers
2 3 4&1 solo spins --------- remember to slow back down
2 3 4&1 solo spins

Notes:

1) No Skipping or Bouncing (except at the beginning).
2) Each step is taken with the BALL (front part) of the foot.
There is almost no weight on the HEEL (back part) of the foot.
3) There should be no space between the thighs on the rock step
(counts 2 3 of the basic, hand to hand, etc).
4) To learn the 4&1 action that "locks", do this:
rock forward on left
rock back on right
then move, with small steps,
diagonally back left
lock in front right
diagonally back left
rock back right
rock forward left
then move with small steps
diagonally forward right
lock behind left
diagonally forward right
repeat from beginning
