June Tango Events in Normal, IL

"The Tango Lesson" movie starring Sally Potter and Pablo Veron will be
shown at The Normal Theater on June 18 & 19 at 7 p.m. There will be a
tango exhibition on stage by Tom & Nancy Ronquillo before the movie.
The Normal Theater is located at 204 W. North St. in downtown Normal,
IL.
There will be a milonga (social dance) after the movie at The Coffee
House (114 E. Beaufort in downtown Normal) from 9 p.m. until closing on
June 18 & 19. The Coffee House is a short walk from The Normal
Theater. Special guests at the milonga on the 18th. will be the
Consular General & Vice Consul from the Argentine Consulate in Chicago.
Directions from Champaign-Urbana:
Take I 74 to 51 North into Bloomington-Normal. Stay on 51 North and
drive through Bloomington into Normal. In Normal watch for the
"University Cinemas" complex on your right. Continue on 51 N past the
cinema complex for a short distance and then turn right on Beaufort St.
Immediately watch for Fell St. & turn left onto Fell. Turn right on
North St. and watch for The Normal Theater on your right.
The Coffee House is a short distance further west on North St. from the
Normal Theater. The Coffee House lists its address as being on
Beaufort, but you will more easily find it on North St.
