I got nine e-mail responses, plus one live one at practice last
night. All of them are interested in a nightclub two-step class
taught by the club; only three are especially interested in taking
such a class at the Regent. (Which, in general, I encourage people
to do; it just may not be practical this semester.)
Happily, we've been able to arrange it so that we can provide some
NC2S instruction in April, after the beginner classes ends.
Amy plans to teach a nightclub class on Tuesdays at roughly 6:00pm,
covering west coast swing and NC2S. On those Tuesdays that I'm in
town, which will probably be at least two of the expected four
sessions, I plan to teach NC2S, and also to stand around looking
pretty while Amy teaches WCS (8-).
This class isn't officially a done deal yet, but if you like the
idea, you might want to drop a note to Sheena or Mark, since they're
always looking for input on how to make the club more useful for its
members.
