First the bad news: There's been another.....err....um...cancellation of
Salsa at the Pig.
Basically, here's the deal. Bands touring the Midwest will usually play a
large city like Chicago on Friday and Saturday nights and will often hit
a smaller venue like Chambana the following Sunday. The Pig makes a whole
lot more $$$ with these bands than with the Salsatecas. The $$$ factor
doesn't leave us with much bargaining power.
So here is the upcoming schedule (as promised by the Pig) for the next
few Sundays:
10/27 some other stuff
11/3 some other stuff
11/10 some other stuff
11/17 Salsa!
11/24 Salsa!
12/1 Salsa!
12/8 Live Salsa with Adelante!
That's the good news. On Dec. 8, the new local band "Adelante" will make
its debut!
Thanks again for your patience with all of these schedule rearrangements.
Of course there will still be Salsa at the Regent on Friday nights and
stuff at Lindo Mexico on Saturday nights...and road trips to Chicago are
always an option ;)
