Hey dancers,

The 8th Annual Dancing Illini Invitational dance competition is this
Saturday, 9am - 6pm! It features categories for beginner and intermediate
level student dancers, plus time for social dancing in between the heats.
You can (and should) enter! Consider it as just a big dance party that you
have to dress up for.... a chance to meet and dance with students from
colleges all across the midwest!
Come to our practice, Wednesday 9:30-11:00pm at the Regent Ballroom,
find some partners and work on your dancing. We'll have sign-up sheets
available to help you in your partner search. Additionally, at 10pm Erica
Messinger will be teaching a free 15 minute lesson on Body Isolations &
Movement in Samba to help you prepare for the competition.

This week we will also have an extra practice session on Thursday night.
Same time, same place (but no video librarian on Thursday).

The rest of this applies to Wednesday night's practice:

Videos are also a great way to learn new moves or improve your technique in
the moves you already know. Why not borrow a couple from our extensive
library?

The video librarian will be available from 9:30 to 9:45 to accept video
returns and conduct loans for the upcoming week. Dancing Illini T-Shirts
can be ordered at this time.

Videos can be checked out during the first 15 minutes of every practice,
and are due back at the following week's first 15 minutes of practice.
You will be asked for a $2 donation (to help the club purchase additional
videos) and for a $20 cash deposit (which will be returned to you when
you return the video).
