I had heard a lot about Bradley's, the country-western bar just
on the other side of Champaign. On a whim, a friend of mine and
I went there last wednesday and I don't recall the last time I had
such fun.. I actually went early, learned a few line dances and
picked up a few by just watching. My limited dance experience
actually helped at this.
Aside from line dances, they play polkas and swings (ECS/WCS)
and an occasional waltz, though the ballroom style will look out
of place there...... I will be there about 8 this Wednesday and
so will my friend, who now wants to pick up ballroom dancing
seeing how much with ease I picked up the line-dances. If you
are interested, be there this Wednesday. I gather they also have
retro-nights Sunday (if I recall correct) though the Rose-Bowl
might be another fun place to go on Sunday nights...
