We will hold a special officers' meeting this Thursday evening (that's
tonight). Meet at 9:15pm in the Opera Rehearsal Room, we will adjorn to
Fiesta Cafe by 9:35 to begin the meeting.
This meeting is devoted to discussion of the following topics:
A: Who will the DI invite to teach our fall dance courses, and
B: What classes we are going to offer for 4-week and one- to two- week
short seminars.
Many factors will be taken into consideration including, but by no means
limited to: instructor availability and preferences/ specialties,
developement of upcoming instructors and assistants, time constraints,
current club interests and needs, etc. etc. etc.
Any suggestions are welcome. If you cannot attend but have ideas to
contribute, please email me at sbeavers@uiuc.edu before 4:30 this
afternoon. We are interested in hearing: constructive comments about
current DI courses, instructors, and music, etc, and any statmenets that
begin along the following lines: "I think it would be great if the DI
would offer a short course on *blank*..."
I will compile any and all comments and present them at the meeting.
The first half hour of all officers' meetings are open to members who wish
to present an issue or concern to the officers and chairpersons.
