Hi, Dancers,
These are great classes, well taught, convenient to get to, park, etc. ...PLUS, there's a weekly Tues evening dance at 930 that only costs a buck!. It's open to- and attended by- all levels, so you have a chance to practice the steps and moves you learned in your classes. Most of the students are college age, but everyone's so friendly, they make all ages feel welcome.

Place: All classes are at the McKinley Foundation, upstairs in the Westminster Hall (located on the corner of 5th and Daniel in Champaign)
Big Room with Air conditioning!

Beginner Salsa Class

Fridays, 6:45 - 8:00 PM
September 1 - October 6 (skip September 22)
This class is for those of you who are new to the dance, or for those who want a refresher course. This class will focus on the principles of leading and following, basic steps and turns, and cross-body leads. We will also teach Merengue & Bachata!
Intermediate Salsa Class

Fridays, 5:15 - 6:30 PM
September 1 - October 6 (skip September 22)
This class is for people who have taken any beginners class before and want to develop their dancing. We will build on the basic steps and turns, adding new steps, moves, and combinations.
Advanced Salsa Class

Tuesdays, 8:15 - 9:30 PM
September 5 - October 3
Advanced moves, turns, combinations, and footwork
PLEASE NOTE that the material covered will be the same as that offered in the advanced class during the first summer session (May-June 2006). Prerequisite: being very comfortable at the intermediate level
Each session (5 classes in total) is $30.
No partner is required.
