Join us this Saturday June 3 for a milonga (tango social dance) to
begin a summer of tango at the Phillips Recreation Center, 505 W
Stoughton, Urbana. Weekly classes start next week.

Sat June 3
8 PM: Lesson 'Introduction to Tango & its Musicality'
- Learn the social style of tango danced in the night clubs of Buenos Aires.
Admission $7 (includes subsequent milonga)
9:30 PM - 12:30 AM: Milonga
- Dance to classic tango music, make new friends
Admission $5

(1) Tango 1 - Foundations of Tango
Mondays 8:30 - 10 PM
June 5 - 26 (4 weeks)

(2) Tango 3D - Intermediate Tango Musicality
Wednesdays 8:30 - 10 PM
June 7 - June 28 (4 weeks)

- Pre-requisite: Tango 2
- rhythm changes in tango, milonga & vals; musical phrasing; dancing
to different orchestras
- matching movements to rhythm and phrasing
- milonga traspie (milonga in double time rhythm)
No partners required for lessons and courses.
