8 - 9:30 PM: Lesson "Introduction to Tango & its Musicality" with Ron & Susana
9:30 PM - 12:30 AM: Milonga
Cost: $5 / $7 with lesson
The lesson will be an introduction to tango in close embrace, the social
style of tango danced in the milongas of Buenos Aires. This lesson is for
newcomers to tango, as well as serving as an introduction to milonguero style tango
for those who dance other styles of tango. A beginner level milonguero style
tango course will start next week [Wed June 8: 8:30 PM] at the Phillips Center.
The music program will consist of classic tango music from the Golden Age for
the first 2 hours. The last hour will consist of modern evolutionary trends
in danceable tango music.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
