    1. Early music and dance, Italy

    Eight days of courses, concerts and seminars in early music and dance, with specific reference to the Renaissance and Baroque periods. From 28 July to 4 August 2005 in the ancient town of Bagnacavallo in Romagna.

     

    2. Grants to dancers, U.S.A.

    Cash and scholarships to dancers and other artists, up to 10,000 US dollars. Applicants are required to submit a videotaped audition. Categories: ballet, jazz, modern, tap, world dance forms, choreography.

     

    3. Competition and workshops, Cuba

    Organized by the National Folkloric Group of Cuba; dates 26/09-02/10/2005. Individual dancers, academies and companies can take part and compete in solo, partner or group Cuban popular dances, rueda de casino, salsa.

     

    4. Folk festival, Italy

    In Sardinia, near Cagliari, during 7 days in August 2005. Offers accomodation, prefers groups offering to exchange invitations.

     

    5. Dance instructor, USA

    A state supported school for the arts seeks a ballet instructor for spring semester of 2006 with background in the instruction of classical ballet technique, male technique, classical repertoire and choreographic or staging capability. Salary commensurate with degree and experience.

     

    6. 19th World Dance Congress, Cyprus

    Individuals and dance companies are invited to register early for the Congress, to take place in Larnaca, Cuprus, 9-13 November 2005. This is the largest gathering of dance specialists world-wide, the best opportunity to showcase one's work to a wide audience of practitioners, dance teachers, choreographers, researchers, critics and organizers. Last year 450 top specialists from 40 countries of the 5 continents had attended. All forms of dance are represented. Strictly non-profit. Not to be confused with festivals, workshops, or open conferences. It will probably be combined with the CID General Assembly.
