Our series of courses in milonguero style tango continues at the Phillips
Recreation Center with new courses starting Wednesday (Intermediate Tango) and
next Monday (Advanced Tango).
Details:
(1) Intermediate Tango (Topic: Ocho Variations)
Wednesdays April 6 - April 27 8:30-10 PM Cost: $24
Pre-requisite: Advanced Beginner Tango or equivalent skills.
- This course will introduce back ochos, ochos cortados, turning ochos, and
boleos in close embrace and how to use them in navigation and improvisation.
(2) Advanced Tango (Topic: Advanced Navigation)
Mondays April 11 - May 2 8:30-10 PM Cost: $24
Pre-requisite: Two Intermediate Tango courses or equivalent skills
- Navigation and improvisation using inside and outside partner positions in
parallel and crossed-feet movements. Thei course will start from the same base
as the first Brigitta Winkler workshop on Sunday but go off in a slightly
different direction.
