Tangueras (and tangueros reading this message),
Thank you for your enthusiastic response. The women's tango workshop on
technique given by Erica Sutton is on!! If you're still undecided, go! You
will meet new friends and improve your dancing. The women's workshop is
Saturday from 5:45-7:15 PM ($15), followed by Introduction to Milonga (you
don't want to sit out milongas anymore) from 7:30-9 (for both men and women:
$10), followed by the milonga (defined here as the social dance, not the type
of dance) (confusing unless you're a tanguero/a). Admission to either
workshop guarantees free admission to the milonga. No questions asked.
Erica and Federico will give demos at the milonga workshop and during the
break in the milonga itself.
Cancel all other obligations Sunday afternoon as well. There are 3 workshops
given by Federico Costantino and Erica Sutton: Argentine Tango Level 1
(1-2:30 PM). Level 2 (2:45-4:15), Level 3 (4:30-6). Attend all 3!! Discounts
for multiple workshops:
$25/$45/$60 for 1/2/3 workshops
$20/$35/$45 students
(This is a LOT LESS than you would pay for tango workshops in Chicago or
other large cities, and you don't have to travel!)
See you there. Partners not necessary. Bring a friend. You won't regret it.
If you are looking for the meaning of life, you may find it in tango. Ask any
tanguero. (However, be careful with the milongueros.)
