DanceSport at the Sydney Olympics

Since I haven't seen it mentioned here yet, I just wanted to send out a
reminder to everyone on this list about this event. DanceSport (competitive
ballroom dancing) is well on its way to becoming an official Olympic event,
probably in 2008.

But it will be making it's debut at the Sydney games! On Sunday, October 1,
DanceSport will be given a spotlight during the closing ceremonies. Of
course, it is going to be televised.

There's no information that I can find on this at the Olympics Web site, but
doing an internet search for "olympics dancesport" should give you plenty of
hits. More to come (if I can find it!) --
