installing NAMD 2.11

Dear all,

I am a beginner and I want to install NAMD on my workstation. I downloaded
the NAMD 2.11 and untarred it. Then, I changed the permission to read and
write in NAMD2. but when I try to run a simulation there is an error as
follows:
namd2: comman not found
any help is appreciated.
