Looks like you have a 64-bit machine, so you should use ./build charm++ net-linux-x86_64 --no-build-shared -O -DCMK_OPTIMIZE=1.
The notes.txt file has step-by-step instructions for compiling NAMD.
On an unrelated note, it looks like your caps lock key is on.
