As some might know, the Dancing Illini attended Case Western Reserve
University's Annual Ballroom Blitz competition. I'd like to
congratulate all of the competitors and acknowledge that our team placed
first in the International Style Team Match.
The competitors for the Team Match were:
Yuri Sohn & Mindy Gilkison -- Waltz
Jay Tsai & Tanja Hodges -- Cha Cha
Cory Tsang & Regina Pareigis -- Quickstep
Andrew Tate & Michelle Guthrie -- Jive
I'd like to encourage our new and existing members to consider competing.
It is a ton of fun and the excitement and adrenaline rush of competition
is something to experience at least once :) We now have a title to defend
next year as well!
If you'd like to get a taste of competition, the Dancing Illini is funding
all competition fees for Notre Dame's competition the weekend of March
28th. (That, by the way, is the last weekend of spring break).
One of us will be hauling the trophy around to classes this week and then
try to have it placed in the Union for display.
