This Friday, August 29 from 10:00am to 3:00pm, is Quad Day. This is the
day when all the registered organizations at the University set up tables
on the quad and introduce themselves to the entire student body. The DI
will have a table so we can greet all the new and returning students and
sign them up for dance classes. In addition, the DI will be performing
demonstrations on the stage in front of the Illini Union at 1:15pm.
Here's where you come in:
We need your help to hand out flyers, and generally smile and gush about
the DI. In exchange we will provide free soda. Also, we need dancers to
help out with the demonstrations. The club will be demonstrating dances
from the beginner classes (Swing, Hustle, Cha Cha, Salsa, Waltz, Foxtrot).
Dancers of all skill levels are welcome to participate in the demos. If
you are interested in participating in the demos, please email me.
Believe it or not, an hour or so of your time will really make a big
difference! We ask that people volunteer for a minimum of one hour, but
everyone is welcome to take on two or more. Please reserve a time-slot by
e-mailing me as soon as possible.

Additionally, everyone is encouraged to come by the booth and help out
when they can. Have fun, chat with your fellow DI, and perhaps provide
a break for someone! This is a great opportunity to meet new people,
as well as catch up on all the gossip with your returning friends.
