Ladies,
If you have been thinking about taking an Intermediate
dance class to improve your dancing, now would be a great
time.
The Dancing Illini Intermediate "2F" Swing and Rumba needs
women. All that is required is for you to have taken our
beginner course, or have equivalent experience.
The course is designed to achieve the look that the advance
dancers create. An introduction to technique, poise, arm styling,
leading and following. We will show you in both dances (Rumba,
and Jive) how to spin off single-double turns, and by the end
of the course, you will be wanting to try triple turns.
A variety of small group Syllabus combinations are carefully put
together, and after you have mastered them we'll show you how to
add light and shade to the groups.
Whether you just want to have heads turn at the Regent Ballroom,
or you would like to impress the judges at competitions, there
should be room for you to improve your dancing in this course.
If you already know the figures, you can work on your spins,
see if you can do three turns and still maintain perfect balance.

Course: Intermediate "2F" Swing and Rumba Course, 8 weeks long
Date: Thursdays, June 19 - August 7
Time: 8:00 - 9:15pm
Cost: $25 for students/faculty/staff (includes $5 membership dues)
$30 for non- students/faculty/staff
(includes $10 registered participant fees)
$20 for existing DI members and existing reg. participants
*** Take both intermediate courses for only an additional $10 **
Location: Krannert Center, Opera Rehearsal Room
