Practice and General Meeting, Wed, 2/5, 9:30pm, Regent

Hello dancers,

We will hold our second Spring semester practice on Wednesday, February 5
at 9:30-11:00pm in the Regent Ballroom, Savoy. After some dance practice,
we'll turn the music off at 10pm and the February general meeting will
convene. Free pizza and soda will be provided during the meeting. Then
the music goes back on. Class flyers, calendars and videos will be
available.

The meeting agenda is as follows:

1. Officer reports on anything that has changed since last week :-)

2. Propose and vote on the Spring 1997 budget, version 1.1

4. Close nominations and hold election for new Co-secretary.

The Dancing Illini is losing a few officers and instructors to
graduation. In order to continue presenting quality, fun-filled
activities like classes, dances, workshops, practices, social
get-togethers and dance teams, WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Nominations are currently being taken for the following position:

o Social Chairperson or Co-chairpersons
o Co-secretary

Duties for this position are outlined in the Constitution of the
Dancing Illini in Article II - Governance. You can find the

We are currently searching for instructor apprentices, to work closely
with current DI instructors during the Spring semester, to prepare to
teach classes starting in the 1997 Summer and Fall semesters.
