Welcome back everyone,

We will hold our first Spring semester practice on Wednesday, January 29 at
9:30-11:00pm in the Regent Ballroom, Savoy. After some dance practice,
we'll turn the music off at 10pm and the January general meeting will
convene. Free pizza and soda will be provided during the meeting. Then
the music goes back on. Class flyers, calendars and videos will be
available.

The meeting agenda is as follows:

1. Officer reports & Spring semester plans.

2. Propose and vote on change to By-Laws Article II, Class Policies, Sec D

3. Propose and vote on the Spring 1997 budget.

4. Close nominations and hold election for new Co-secretary.
Open nominations for Social Chairperson or Co-chairpersons.

The Dancing Illini is losing a few officers and instructors to
graduation. In order to continue presenting quality, fun-filled
activities like classes, dances, workshops, practices, social
get-togethers and dance teams, WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Duties for this position are outlined in the Constitution of the
Dancing Illini in Article II - Governance. You can find the

We are currently searching for instructor apprentices, to work closely
with current DI instructors during the Spring semester, to prepare to
teach classes starting in the 1997 Summer and Fall semesters.

If you are interested in filling the position of Co-secretary,
interested in becoming an instructor or are willing to volunteer
your time, please contact your dedicated Dancing Illini officers at:

The video librarian will be available at all regularly scheduled practices
so you can check 'em out!

Videos can be checked out during the first 15 minutes of every practice, and
are due back at the following week's first 15 minutes of practice. You will be
asked for a $2 donation (to help the club purchase future videos) and for a
$20 cash deposit (which will be returned to you when you return the video).
