The Dancing Illini has more fun social events left this semester.
First, we have a latin and nightclub social dance on Sunday, November 24
from 1:00 - 4:00 pm in room 314 of the Illini Union. We will present a
free lesson in a latin dance starting somewhere in the first half hour,
lasting until 2:00. All the music in this social dance will be suitable
for one of the latin or nightclub dances. (These are cha cha, rumba,
swing, west coast swing, hustle, samba, salsa, merengue, nc 2-step, and
maybe a tango).
Second, there will be a dessert party on Friday, December 6 from 7 - 9 pm
in the Lakehouse at Crystal Lake Park in Urbana. We will supply the
beverages, so all you have to do is bring a dessert to share. So come out
and show us your baking expertise. Fat free desserts would be appreciated
too. ;) And even if you can't/don't bake, come anyway, there is always
plenty to share. Also, please bring a gift that costs less than $5.00 for
a gift exchange. This is optional. If you need directions or a ride,

Finally, we are also hosting a Holiday Dance Party on Sunday, December 8
from 9:00 - 11:30 pm in the Illini Union Courtyard. There will be some
holiday music, some dance music, loads of holiday fun, and even a mystery
dance lesson from 10:00 to 10:30. So mark your calendars and join us for
one last dance before the semester closes.
