Dear Dancers and Future Dancers,
The Dancing Illini is kicking off the year with two FREE Salsa dances
and four dance courses (schedule below). You can take a course for only
$20 if you pay the first night, and everything is FREE the first week, so
come out to 310 Freer Hall (at Goodwin and Gregory) on September 3 & 5
and give it a try! No partner or experience are required!
Chips, Dips, and Salsa Lesson and Dance -- THIS Saturday, August 31st:
Come learn salsa basics or show off your moves THIS Saturday,
August 31st in the Illini Union Courtyard. There will be a lesson from
7-8 pm and an open dance from 8-10 pm. Please come and join us for a
fun evening with FREE dancing and FREE food!!
Salsa Dance -- Saturday, September 7th:
Come join the Dancing Illini for a night of Salsa, Saturday September 7th,
from 8:30 to midnight in the Illini Union Room 314. I hope to see you all
there at this FREE dance!!
6-Week Dance Courses -- starting September 3 & 5 in 310 Freer Hall:
Beginning Salsa & Nightclub 2 step Tuesday 8:30-9:45pm
Taught by Yuri. No experience needed.
Beginning Waltz & Rumba Thursday 6:45-8:00pm
Taught by Mike & Leigh. No experience needed.
Intermediate Foxtrot & Quickstep Tuesday 6:45-8:00pm
Taught by Regina. Standard experience required.
Intermediate Latin Technique Thursday 8:30-9:45pm
Taught by Holly & Adrian. Latin experience required.
Special: Take one course for ONLY $20 if you pay the first night!
There is no need to pre-register. You may try a course for free during
the first week of each 6 week run. Regular pricing is $15 per course
plus $10 membership dues (paid once per semester, non-UIUC pays $15 fee
instead). Prices are per person; there is no couples discount. Please
be prepared to pay by the start of the 2nd. class.
