    Hello again,

The semester is winding down, but because we love to dance, we're
going to cram in one more workshop this semester.

On Monday April 29th from 9:30-10:30 pm at the Regent Ballroom in
Savoy, Bruce Leasure will teach the basic principles of Viennese
Waltz. As most of you know, Bruce is an exceptionally experienced
amateur competitor and a great instructor. Also, this is a rare
    opportunity
because viennese waltz is not regularly taught by the Dancing Illini.

The viennese waltz is a fast moving, dynamic dance with plenty of
turning. If you've ever heard certain pieces of classical music (the
Blue Danube Waltz always jumps to mind for me) and wanted to learn to
dance to them, this workshop is for you. However, experience with
standard dances (preferably waltz) is HIGHLY recommended. For those
who wish to see it, some video clips of various viennese steps are
    available at

        http://www.ballroomdancers.com/Dances/Viennese/Default.htm

This workshop is being held during our normal practice time, and you
will have about 20 minutes afterwards to practice your new steps.

This event is FREE for Dancing Illini members and registered
participants. No pre-registration is required, so take a short break
from the end of the semester rush and come to the Regent Monday
evening. We hope to see you there.
