*Beginner Salsa Class*
Mondays, 7:45 - 9:00 PM
September 10 - October 8
This class is for those of you who are new to the dance, or for those who
want a refresher course. This class will focus on the principles of leading
and following, basic steps and turns, and cross-body leads. We will also
teach Merengue & Bachata!
*Beginner Salsa Class at the Refinery Gym:*
As an *option* to CUATSALSA CASSES!
Thursdays, 7:00-8:15 PM
September 13 – October 11
Place: Refinery Gym
2302 W. John Street, Champaign
Studio B
Cost: $50 for member and non-members, open to public!
Registration: Refinery downstairs at the Juice Bar!
This class will be taught by *Muge Dizen and Thyago Duque* and are
independent of CUATSALSA classes though will cover the exact same material!
*Intermediate I Salsa Class*
Mondays, 6:15 – 7:30 PM
September 10 - October 8
This class is for people who have taken any beginners class before and want
to develop their dancing. We will build on the basic steps and turns,
adding new steps, moves, and combinations.
*Intermediate II Salsa Class*
Wednesdays, 7:00 – 8:15PM
September 12 - October 10
This class is for people who have danced at the intermediate level before
and would like to work on longer combinations building a repertoire of more
complex moves. We build on Intermediate I material and introduce moves
that are the cornerstones for more advanced moves.
*Advanced Salsa Class*
Wednesdays, 8:30 – 9:45PM
September 12 - October 10
Advanced moves, turns, combinations, and footwork!
Prerequisite: being very comfortable at the intermediate level.
*Place*: all classes EXCEPT for the Refinery Beginner Salsa class are held
at the McKinley Church Basement (corner of 5th and John) in Champaign.
*Entry*: from the basement patio door on the corner of 5th and John Str.
*Cost*: CUATSALSA session (5 classes in total) is $35. Refinery session:
$50/5 weeks!
No partner is required.
