Last Wed Jan 28 we started our Fundamentals of Milonga course at the Phillips
Recreation Center. This Wed Feb 4 is the last chance to join this 4-week
course. Class is from 8:30-10 PM. The cost of the course is $24.
This is a 4 week course (6 hrs) that provides a strong foundation in milonga,
including a syllabus of 16 basic elements (2 to 4 step sequences) that are
arranged in numerous sequences for improvisation. Navigation using 3
alternative
line-of-dance progression modes is taught. There is also a strong emphasis on
understanding and interpreting the rhythmic structure of milonga.
If you have a good background in tango (i.e., you are comfortable dancing
tango at the milongas), you have the necessary pre-requisites for this course.
Join us to bring your milonga up to the next higher level.
This course will be followed in sequence by our Intermediate Milonga course,
which builds upon the foundation developed in the Fundamentals of Milonga
course.
