Welcome back U of I students, faculty, and staff. For those of you who have
remained in town over the winter brak, it's time to welcome back those who
have
left.
The Tango Society of Central Illinois is hosting a milonga at the Phillips
Recreation Center (505 W Stoughton, Urbana) this coming Saturday Jan 24 from
9-12 PM. Admission is $5.
Prior to the milonga, starting at 7:30 PM, Ron & Susana Weigel are offering a
pre-milonga lesson entitled:
"Introduction to Milonga and its Musicality"
This workshop will cover the specific rhythm of milonga and how to use basic
milonga steps in accordance with its musical structure.
This course is a preview of Ron & Susana's FUNDAMENTALS OF MILONGA course
which starts at the Phillips Recreation Center on Wed Jan 28.
The cost of the lesson is $7 and includes admission to the milonga.
We look forward to seeing you Saturday for an evening of fun and good dancing
to great tango dance music representing a wide variety of styles from
different eras from the Golden Age to the present.
