New session of Tango Society classes starts this week

    The next session of 5 week tango courses offered by the Tango Society of
    Central Illinois starts this week at the Phillips Recreation Center.

    Advanced Salon Tango [Topic: Turns to the Right]
    Mondays Oct 13 - Nov 10
    8:30 - 10 PM
    $30
    - This course examines the structure of stationary turns to the right in both
    parallel and crossed feet positions, including options for entering and
    exiting. Adornments for use in these patterns will be introduced. These topics will
    be covered within the framework of musicality and appropriate techniques for
    leading and following.

    Intermediate Salon Tango [Topic: Tango Spice]
    Wednesdays Oct 15 - Nov 12
    8:30 - 10 PM
    $30
    - Spice up you tango with decorative elements for both men and women,
    including amagues, lapices, boleos, ganchos, sacadas, arrastres, and more, using
    proper technique for leading and following. Learn various places within sequences
    where these adornments can be used. Learn how adornments are used within the
    structure of the music.

    You can take both courses if you want.
