The Tango Society of Central Illinois has a full calendar of events for
October. Here's a brief overview:
First Week:
Sat Oct 4 - Milonga at Phillips Center 9-12 PM ($5). Pre-milonga lesson
"Foundations of Vals" at 7:30 ($7, includes admission to the milonga).
Second Week:
Sat Oct 11 - Tango Workshops with Fred & Yermen Romero at Phillips Center.
5:00 - 6:30 PM: Boleos. 6:45 - 8:15 PM: Sacadas. $20 ($15 for students) for
1; $35 ($25 for students) for 2.
Third Week:
- Mon Oct 13: Advanced Salon Tango course (5 wks) starts; Topic: Structure of
Giros to the Right. 8:30-10 PM. ($30)
- Wed Oct 15: Intermediate Salon Tango course (5 weeks) starts; Topic: "Tango
Spice" (ganchos, boleos, sacadas, arrastres, etc.) 8:30-10 PM. ($30)
Fourth Week:
- Sat Oct 25: Milonga at Phillips Center 9-12 PM. Pre-milonga lesson "Vals
II: Ochos & Changes of Direction".
We are planning additional workshops that weekend. Stay tuned for further
