Argentine Tango!
The Refinery is sponsoring world-famous tango instructors Gloria & Eduardo
Arquimbau to come from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Champaign - Urbana for 2
weekends of tango-mania!
For beginners or intermediate dancers we will be having 2 Saturday
workshops to brush up on the basics of Argentine Tango, Salon style & Club
style.
Sat. Oct 26th at the McKinley Foundation at 3:30pm
Intro to Argentine Tango, Salon Style
This 1.5 hour workshop will take you through the basic steps and turns of
the tango in relaxed, elegant salon style. Stay afterwards for free
practice time.
Sat. Nov. 2nd at the Philips Recreation Center at 7:30pm
Intro to Argentine Tango, Club Style
A Little more upbeat and rythmic, the 1.5 hour club style workshop will
give you the basics and a bit of a workout! Workshop attendees enjoy free
admission to the Milonga practice dance that continues until 12pm!
Each workshop is only $20 at the door or just $15 each in advance!
Beginner packages (both workshops, practice, and milonga) are available for
$35 at the door or $30 in advance. Call Regina at 355-4444 or email to

We have been planning a special day of tango just right for the dedicated
tango lover!
On Sunday Nov. 3rd at Erwin's Studio (on Curt Dr.)there will be a full day
of challanging workshops topped off with a Milonga.
The fun starts with -Cursos de Tecnica y Musicalidad- at 4:00 pm
We continue with -Cursos de Tango Fantasia- (OR Stage Tango)at 5:45 pm
And last but not least -Cursos de Tango de los Anos 40- at 7:30 pm
After the last workshop at 9:00pm enjoy a relaxing Milonga where you can
practice your new steps, enjoy meeting some new friends, or just dance the
night away!
The Sunday workshops are open only to dancers with some tango expirience.
The milonga is open to all who wish to enjoy the dance.
Advanced packages are available in advance for $65 or at the door for $75.
Individual Workshops are $30 per workshop, or $25 in advance.
Private lessons will be available on the weekends of Oct. 25-26 and Nov.
