Lecture Slides

PowerPoint slides, as used in the lecture, are below. It is suggested that participants have the slides open and keep them synchronized with the video lecture, as they provide better views of what is up on the screen behind the lecturer.

There are three separate PowerPoint files used (1-introduction, 2-aquaporins, 3-theory-nanotubes-tutorial), and there are movie files embedded in the slides which should also be downloaded.

For best results, copy all the files into the same directory. It will be useful to scan through the slides once before the lecture, to see if there are any issues to address, e.g. movie files needing to be inserted into a slide.

The corresponding times in the streaming video for the PowerPoint slides sections are as follows:

  Section File Name Lecture
Time Segment
(hh:mm:ss)
First Slide Title
  Part 1 1-introduction 00:00:00-00:25:30 "Simulating Membrane Channels"
Part 2 2-aquaporins 00:25:30-01:59:45 "Analysis of Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Biomolecules"
Part 3 3-theory-nanotubes-tutorial 01:59:45-02:14:57 "Carbon Nanotubes Hydrophobic channels - Perfect Models for Membrane Water Channels"
