Hi, Suresh,

The simplest way to generate the structure of a nanotube is to use the
"Nanotube builder" in VMD.
After a generation, just type:

set tube [atomselect top all]
$tube writepsf tube.psf
$tube writepdb tube.pdb

Then you should see the files of your nanotube system.
