Copy namd2.exe to directory where ubq_wb_eq.conf is located, go there
and start program there.
You can get message below if you just do not have configuration file.
Do you have dual core or more processors?
Try to run and specify the number of core processors: namd2 +p2
ubq_wb_eq.conf > ubq_wb_eq.log

Subject: namd-l: Error: This application has requested the Runtime to
terminate it in an unusual way: Please contact the application's support
team for more information" after specifying the namd2.exe path
I am new to NAMD and am working my way through all of the tutorials. I
have downloaded the windows version 2.7B2_win32 (to a window's XP
computer). I seem to be unable to run any of the sample simulations
from the NAMD tutorials (the input files were downloaded from the
tutorial site so I know the problem isn't with the input files). when I
follow the instructions for running the simulation i.e. "namd2
ubq_wb_eq.conf > ubq_wb_eq.log" I receive the following error. When I
go to the directory with namd2 and try to run just namd2 (without any
input files) the program exits with an error. When I alter the
directory path of namd2 (to specify the directory containing namd2.exe
the following error is returned:
Error: This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an

after specifying the namd2.exe path
It would seem that namd2 is not recognized as an executable file. I have
double checked the directory specifications in my configuration files to
make sure everything is directed to the proper directory.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to how this error can be corrected? I
noticed several other people received this same error though it was from
a different context of input.
I appreciate any suggestions anyone is willing to offer.
