Hello,
Thank you for the reply!
But after changing to tcsh, upon typing vmd command, a window just
jumped out and closed right away.
How can I fix the flashing?

You need to install the tcsh shell.  It need not be your default shell
(I use bash as my default shell all this while), but it has to be
present in your computer.
