Dear All,

I am trying to run a namd jop on a Dell Precision 390 with intel Dual core, Redhat
Linux. Here is the output from uname -vra

Linux xxx.xxx.edu 2.6.9-5.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Jan 5 19:29:47 EST 2005 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64
GNU/Linux

namd is installed on NFS mounted disk, we type 'setup namd' to load the program.

the ubiquitin-in-a-sphere job runs fine as a single process, But not using charmrun as
regular user. However, the charmrun job can be run as root. My system administrator
will
not let me run as root, so can anyone tell me what he needs to change, is this likely a
permission problem or a compilation problem?

Any advice greatly appreciated,
