TOTAL energy increase

I ran a NVT Namd simulation with spherical boundary conditions. The total energy "TOTAL in the log file" increases continously with time. All individual terms (BOND, ANGLE, DIHED, ELEC, KINETIC) seems to be flat.
Is there a reason for this discrepency.
